What You Should Know Before Applying:
Our volunteers are so valued and appreciated at Encounter Kids Camp! Volunteers are vital to properly ensure the safety and security of children at camp, as well as supporting our Camp Staff with day-to-day activities. Volunteering at camp can be fun, rewarding and enjoyable, while also challenging at times. It is our hope that this experience will result in positive personal growth and discovery of the talents, skills and gifts God has given you!
All volunteers must going into grade 9 (as of September 2024) or older
Volunteer Expectations:
-Supporting Camp Staff during transitional periods, small group, rotations, large group sessions etc.
-Show up at on-time at 8:15am until 4:30pm daily
-Performing assigned cleaning tasks (ex, taking out garbage & recycling, mopping the floors, window cleaning, vacuuming, etc.)
-Modelling Godly leadership and behaviour
-Engaging and interacting with campers in a caring and positive way
-Respecting the decisions and authority of the Staff and Camp Director
-Ensuring cellphones and other electronic devices are stored away
