Stellar Space Camp - Kids Camp Volunteer

July 15th to 19th | What You Should Know Before Applying:
Our volunteers are so valued and appreciated at Encounter Kids Camp! Volunteers are vital to properly ensure the safety and security of children at camp, as well as supporting our Camp Staff with day-to-day activities. Volunteering at camp can be fun, rewarding and enjoyable, while also challenging at times. It is our hope that this experience will result in positive personal growth and discovery of the talents, skills and gifts God has given you!

All volunteers must going into grade 9 (as of September 2024) or older

Volunteer Expectations:
-Supporting Camp Staff during transitional periods, small group, rotations, large group sessions etc.
-Show up at on-time at 8:15am until 4:30pm daily
-Performing assigned cleaning tasks (ex, taking out garbage & recycling, mopping the floors, window cleaning, vacuuming, etc.)
-Modelling Godly leadership and behaviour
-Engaging and interacting with campers in a caring and positive way
-Respecting the decisions and authority of the Staff and Camp Director
-Ensuring cellphones and other electronic devices are stored away
Thank you for being willing to volunteer at our Stellar Sapce Kids Camp this summer. All volunteers must be going into Grade 9 (as of September 2024). Those under Grade 9 must sign up for our Leaders in Training Camp happening during this week. 

Applications will be reviewed and you will be contacted if you are selected to volunteer for the week. Interviews may be conducted if needed.

Selected volunteers will be required to attend a training day, Thursday July 11 at 5:30pm

Availability
We ask that volunteers be here for 8:15am until 4:30pm each day, if serving for a full day. Morning will be from 8:15am until 1:00pm and afternoon will be from 1:00pm until 4:30pm. If you can volunteer for the full day please make sure to select both the morning and afternoon shift.

**Thursday is field trip day and we will be gone for the entire day, full day volunteers will be needed**

Interview and Training
An interview may be conducted to get to know you better and find which group you would be best fitted to be in.

An in-person training will also be taking place closer to the day of camp. The date will be Thursday July 11th at 5:30pm and all will be required to attend.
